Bellevue Stage 2 introduces a new apartment development to the existing senior living complex, connected at ground level by a welcoming communal hub. Designed to complement Stage 1, the architecture maintains a residential scale and character, combining brick, painted weatherboard, and plaster to create a varied, articulated façade.
The building is predominantly two storeys, with a central three-storey link, and incorporates a mix of hipped and gable roof forms. Balconies are expressed through timber and plastered elements, while sliding glazed screens provide both visual refinement and weather protection.
A strong emphasis is placed on social connection, with a generously proportioned ground-floor hub acting as a focal point for residents. This space includes relaxed lounge areas, a feature fireplace, tea station, and a dedicated theatre, all visually and physically connected to the surrounding gardens through expansive glazing. Outdoor amenities such as dining and BBQ areas, pergolas, raised garden beds, and a residents’ workshop support a range of social and recreational activities.
The landscape design retains existing specimen trees and introduces a diverse mix of native and exotic planting, creating a rich, seasonal setting that supports biodiversity. Pathways weave throughout the site, connecting residents to outdoor spaces and the surrounding street, while each apartment enjoys a private patio or balcony.
An additional carport is integrated into the existing parking area, supporting the needs of residents.
Bellevue Stage 2 delivers a cohesive extension that balances architectural continuity, amenity, and a strong connection to landscape.
